This paper presents the development of novel affordable steel-framed modular units for construction with enhanced overall (healthcare, structural, fire, and lightweight) performance, which ideally suits emergency response situation, such as current covid-19 pandemic. The nature quick well-prepared strategies are essential to cope demand quicker structures if similar situation continues or arises in future well. Off-site oriented is ideal provide these requirements at very short notice emergencies. Modular made steel components a leading choice due exceptional strength rigidity lightweight construction. A new weight optimisation procedure was developed Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) joists varying shapes results show that per unit length can be reduced up 24% without compromising structural capacity. verified validated Finite Element (FE) models.
